Arlington Outdoor Activities

Arlington Outdoor ActivitiesThe picturesque landscape of North Texas is augmented by a relatively comfortable climate year round. The heat of the summers and the chilly winters are the extremes, but the majority of the time, Arlington's natural charm is usually complemented by great weather. The city prides itself in offering several spots where the nature lover can enjoy it all, and the city's parks and gardens are just a few examples of how inviting Arlington's outdoor beauty really is.

River Legacy Park
With the Trinity River running through Arlington, it only makes sense that any nature lover would gravitate toward its banks and all the beauty that lives there. One of those places is River Legacy Park. This area opened as a public park in 1990, covering over 376 acres. Thanks to the River Legacy Foundation's donors' generous contributions, the park has grown to become a 1,300-acre outdoor oasis along the Trinity River. If you enjoy peaceful scenery, you can take a leisurely walk along one of the trails to breathe in River Legacy Park's incredible beauty.
